JV Girls raise their record to 6-0 on the season
JV Gold Girls defeated Ovid Elsie 24 to 6 on Saturday, February 9th to move their record to 6-0 on the season. The JV Blue girls defeated Ovid Elsie #1 22.5 to 7.5 today to raise their record to 6-0 on the season. High games for the Blue team were Kasey Palmer with a career high 224, Elizabeth Taylor with a career high 202 and Katie Davidson with a career high 158 games and Anya Christensen had a 155 game.
JV Girls GOLD Team Wins Cougar Classic Tournament to open the season
JV Girls Gold team opened the season at the Cougar Classic Tournament at Imperial Lanes in Clinton Township on Saturday, December 8th, 2018. The JV Gold girls had 4 girls make the all tournament as Jillian Locke finished 6th overall, Leah Williams finished 4th overall, Mary Wheeler finished 2nd overall and Allison Robbins finished 1st overall in singles. The JV girls Gold team qualified #1 and worked their way through Macomb Dakota, Chippewa Valley, Anchor Bay and then defeated Warren Cousino 361 to 312 in the finals to win the tournament. Congratulations girls, great way to start the season!

JV Girls Gold Team wins JV state championship TOurnament in Battle Creek
The JV Girls gold team defeated Coldwater 353 to 292 in the finals of the JV state championship tournament on February 17th at M66 Bowl in Battle Creek. The JV Blue team finished 3rd. This is the 5th JV state championship for the Kearsley girls team.
JV Girls Win Flushing Doubles Tournament- Varsity Tournament
For the 3rd year in a row, Kearsley entered all of their JV bowlers in the Flushing Doubles Tournament at Colonial Lanes. This is a varsity tournament and we are trying to get our bowlers as much experience against high school competition as possible. The Kearsley girls haven't disappointed over the last few years and this year was just as exciting. Kearsley had (2) doubles teams make the cut to the final 16 teams. Kearsley also had (2) girls make the All Tournament team, Samantha Timm (4th) and Allison Eible (6th) made the All Tournament team.The team of Megan and Samantha Timm lost their first round match to a doubles team from Owosso and the doubles team of Emilea Sturk and Allison Eible won their first round match against a team from Owosso and then defeated the doubles team that the Timm sisters lost to and moved into the final 4. In the final 4 Allison and Emilea defeated a doubles team from Alma to move into the finals against a doubles team from Swartz Creek. In the first game the Swartz Creek girls won the game 159 to 144 but the Kearsley girls would not give up as they caught fire and finished the tournament with a 222 Baker game to Swartz Creek's 190 game as the Kearsley JV girls won a varsity tournament. Congratulations to Emilea Sturk and Allison Eible for a great tournament today.

Congratulations to the JV Gold girls team. They defeated Oxford in the finals 328 to 289 to win the Metro Conference JV Championship Tournament today at B's Bowling. Congratulations Ladies!

JV Girls Gold team defeated Davison in the finals to win the Flint Metro JV Conference Championship Tournament on Sunday, January 15th at B's Bowling.
Girls JV Gold finishes 2nd in Romeo Team Tournament on January 8th at Sterling Lanes
The JV girls Gold team qualified 2nd overall in the Romeo Team tournament at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights on Sunday, January 8th. The team had games of 828, 690 and 830 to qualify 2nd behind Macomb Dakota. They worked their way through the field to end up in the finals were they lost to top seeded Macomb Dakota to finish runner up. Some scores for the JV Gold team were Morgan Brode 165 & 116, Ashlee Countryman 145 & 213, Lindsay Schumacher 190,139 & 163. Magan Willingham 170,136 & 144 and Hannah Scully 134 & 156 and Hannah Simms 158,165 & 154. Ashlee Countryman finished 5th on the All Tournament team with the 358 (2) game total. Kearsley JV Gold Girls Team Wins JV State Championship - Defeating Warren Regina In The Finals
The Kearsley JV Girls Gold team qualified #1 for the day and worked their way through the bracket and ended up defeating Warren Regina in the finals to win the JV State Title for the 2015-2016 season. This followed an undefeated 9-0 season that also saw the JV girls Gold team win the Flint Metro Conference JV title this year. The win is bittersweet as our beloved coaches, Scott and Stephanie Gruener have decided to step aside from coaching effective immediately. Thank you for 7 wonderful years Scott and Steph and congratulations to all of the girls on a great season.

Kearsley JV Gold girls defeated Mt Morris 30-0 on Saturday, January 16th at Colonial Lanes in Flushing. The JV Gold team started the match with Baker games of 181 & 207 and then had team games of 904 and 779 to finish with a total pinfall of 2071. Scores for the gold team were Madilynn Dunsmore with games of 216 & 166, Kayla Ward with games of 202 & 152, Lindsey Schumacher with games of 170 & 170, Ashlee Countryman with a 160 game, Mary Wheeler with a 165 game, Hannah Scully with a 151 game, and Alayna Adamson with a 131 game. JV Gold Defeats JV Blue 24-6 to Finish the season 9-0, JV Blue finished the season 7-2
The blue team started the night with their best baker game of the year with 213 to the gold teams 203. The 2nd baker game the gold team won 183 over the blue team's 124 game. Then in the match games the gold team won with games of 972 & 863 to the blue team's 657 & 738 games. Bowling for the gold team Lindsay Schumacher had games of 185 & 190, Erica Bruce had a 213, Karlee Griffin had a 202, and Madilynn Dunsome had games of 236 & 189. Bowling for the blue team, Holly Kimmerling had games of 183 & 181 and Shelby Hamilton had a 191 game. The gold team ended the season 9-0 and the blue team ended 7-2. Both jv girls teams will be bowling this weekend at Sunnybrook Lanes at the state JV Championship tournament. Singles event will be held on Saturday and team event will be on Sunday

The blue team defeated Clio 29-1. They bowled baker games of 132 & 146 over Clio's 102 & 121. The hornets had match games of 758 & 718 over Clio's 591 & 652 games. High for the blue team today was Shelby Hamilton with games of 158 & 159 and Sam Redick with 164 & 179 games. The gold team is now 8-0 and the blue team is 7-1. The jv teams will bowl their last conference match of the season this Tuesday at 6 pm at Grand Blanc Lanes
JV Blue Team Moves to 6-1 on season
The blue team bowled against Brandon and won 29-1 making them 6-1 for the season. The blue team had baker games of 125 & 116 over Brandon's 99 & 122. The blue team then had match games of 636 & 732 over Brandon's 546 & 514 games. High for the night for the blue team was Sam Redick with a 178 and Holly Kimmerling with a 167. Both teams will bowl Saturday at Colonial Lanes. The gold team will face Brandon and the blue team will face Clio.

The girls jv teams bowled at Town & Country Lanes on Feb 9th. The gold team bowled Swartz Creek and won 29-1 making them 7-0 for the season and the only undefeated team in the league. Gold had baker games of 165 & 140 to S.C. 81 & 111. Then the gold team continued the night bowling match games of 766 & 798 over Swartz Creek's 563 & 531 games. High games for the gold were Emma Boychuck with 185, Madilynn Dunsmore with199 and Karlee Griffin with 169
JV Gold team squeeks out a 17.5 to 12.5 victory over JV Blue Team
The undefeated jv blue and gold teams bowled each other at Durand Lanes on Saturday. The jv blue girls came out strong the 1st baker game winning 164 to 149. But the gold team did not let that get them down and came back to win the 2nd baker by a score of 166 to 141, giving the gold team a ten pin lead going into the match games. Once again, the blue team came out with one of their best games of the season with a 811 game to the gold's 767. Shelby Hamilton had a 175, Magan Willingham had a 170 and captain Sam Redick had a 189. After the 1st match game the blue team had 11 of the 18 points. The last match game was neck and neck until about the 8th frame then the gold team finished with a 724 to the blue team's 649 game, with the gold team winning the match 17 1/2 to 12 1/2. It was a great day for both teams! The jv girls have two matches remaining for the season. They will bowl Feb 9th at Town & Country Lanes at 6 pm. Team gold will face Swartz Creek and team blue will face Brandon.
JV Girls Dominate Carman Ainsworth Singles Tournament as Madilynn Dunmore wins Singles Title
The Kearsley girls JV teams dominated the Carman Singles Tournament at Grand Blanc Lanes on Sunday, February 1st. The Carman tournament was another great day for the jv girls. We had 15 girls bowling today and Kearsley had 9 of the top 12 girls to qualify to go on to the next round. 1st was Kayla Ward with 672, 2nd was Sam Redick with 646, 3rd was Karlee Griffin with 622, 4th was Julie Dietz of John Glen, 5th was birthday girl Magan Willingham with 605, 6th was Madilyn Dunsmore with 599, 7th was Holly Kimmerling with 598, 8th was Erica Jones of Sandusky, 9th was Emma Boychuck with 576, 10th was Emani Davis of Swartz Creek, 11th was Barbara Hawes with 570 and 12th was Lindsay Shumacher with 570. The top 5 girls were the All Tournament team members. After the top 12 girls bowled, Kayla, Emma, Madi, Holly and Barbara moved on to the next round. After the eight girls from that round bowled, Kayla, Madi and Holly moved on. Holly placed third overall. Then in the finals we had Madi bowling for the championship. Madi won with a score of 195 to Kayla's 169. Great day for the jv girls!!! Congratulations Lady Hornets!

The blue team bowled Powers and won 30-0. Blue had baker games of 146 & 127 over Power's 70 & 81. Then they bowled match games of 730 & 759 over Power's 451 & 423. Shelby Hamilton had games of 200 & 184 and Ashlee Countryman had a 163 and Holly Kimmerling had a 166 game. The Blue team is now 5-0 on the season.

The gold team had baker games of 163 & 141 over Davison's 112 & 128. They then bowled match games of 868 & 830 over Davison's 717 & 581. Emma Boychuk had a 228 and Madilyn Dunsmore had 189 & 212.. The Gold team is now 5-0 on the season.
JV Girls Gold Team Defeated Powers 30-0 at Rollaway Lanes to move to 4-0 on the season
The gold team bowled at Rollaway today and won 30-0 over Powers. The gold girls won both baker games 130 & 149 over Powers 109 & 83. Then in the match games the gold team had games of 766 & 754 over Power's games of 509 & 496. Kayla Ward bowled a nice 193 game and Madilynn Dunsmore had a 192. The gold team will

JV Girls Blue Team Defeated Corunna 24-6 At B's Bowling to move to 4-0 on the season
The blue girls came out strong and bowled their highest baker game of the year of 182 over Corunna's 102, but then lost the second baker 100 to 114. The blue team then had match games of 744 & 752 over Corunna's 561 & 585. Shelby Hamilton had a season high series of 179 & 215! Both the gold and blue girls are the only undefeated teams in the league now! Next match will be 10 AM at Cherry Hill North on Sat the 31st

The JV teams traveled to Riverbend Lanes in Corunna for a conference match on Saturday, January 10th. The gold team defeated Bendle 30-0 with baker games of 194 & 166 to Bendle's 90 & 121. The first match game the gold girls had games of 908 & 837 to Bendle's 519 & 477. Emma Boychuk had games of 221 & 208, Barbara Hawes 202, and Madilynn Dunsmore had 192 & 232. The blue girls had a bye this week!! They had baker games of 110 & 141 and match games of 645 & 670. Holly Kimmerling had a 161 game and Shelby Hamilton had a 165. Saturday's match will be at Clio at 2pm for both teams.

Gold girls qualified first with 2813 pins. Then went on to beat Lanse Creuse North, Chippewa Valley, then lost in the finals to Oxford ending overall for the day in second place. Blue girls qualified second with 2332 pins. Then went on to defeat Stevenson in the first round, then lost the next match to Oxford. Won the consulation match against Chippewa Valley to end the tournament in 3rd place. For the all tournament team Kearsley had 8 of the 10. 1st was Barbara Hawes 422, 2nd Madi Dunsmore 391, 3rd Sam Redick 374, 4th Dani Doolan 342, 5th Erica Bruce 338, 6th Holly Kimmerling 337, 8th Kayla Ward 318, and in 10th Ashlee Countryman 313. Barbara had the high game of the day with 235 and Ashlee had her personal best game with 200! Great day for all the girls.

Gold won over Clio 28 to 2. We had bakers of 185 and 189 against Clio's 87 & 53 (clio only had 3 girls). Match games were Gold 978 & 864 over Clio's 388 & 400. Blue won over Bendle 26-4. We had bakers of 158 & 122 against Bendle's 87 & 73. Match games were Blue 661 & 626 over Bendle's 557 & 569. Both teams are now 1 and 0 on the season. Next conference match is Saturday, January 10th at Riverbend Lanes in Corunna.

The JV girls teams, both the Blue & the Gold traveled to Imperial Lanes in Clinton Township to participate in the first tournament of the season, the Cougar Classic hosted by Macomb Dakota. For the 2nd straight year the Kearsley girls Gold team dominated the field and walked away with the tournament championship. The Gold team qualified #1 overall with a 2617 total as Macomb Dakota was 2nd with a 2331 total. The JV girls Blue team qualified 6th overall with a 1958 total. In the first round Kearsley Gold eliminated Lakeview and then disposed of Waterford Kettering to reach the finals against Macomb Dakota. The final was close as Kearsley won the tournament with a 2 game Baker total of 310 to Macomb Dakota's 286. The JV girls Blue team lost to Oxford in the first round by a score of 299 to 264. The Kearsley girls had 2 girls who made the all tournament team, Dani Doolan and Madilynn Dunsmore. Great showing for the first tournament of the year for the Kearsley JV girls!
